Agreement to Terms
These terms govern any move, packing job, or storage arrangement booked with T&T Moving Company, a licensed household-goods carrier based in Statesboro, Georgia. Booking a job with us, whether over the phone, by form, or after an in-person or video walkthrough, means you accept the terms below.
Estimates and Pricing
Every job is priced after a walkthrough of the home, either in person or by video, and the figure we give you in writing is a flat rate for that specific job, not an hourly estimate that changes once the truck is loaded. Local jobs billed by the hour run $119/hr for a two-mover crew or $159/hr for a three-mover crew, with a 2-hour minimum. Flat-rate local moves generally fall between $410-$620 for a studio or one-bedroom and $2,380-$3,450 for a four-bedroom house, depending on what’s actually being moved. Piano moves run $210-$360 for an upright and $370-$650 for a baby grand, and short-term storage runs $110-$260 per month depending on the space needed.
Booking and Cancellation
A move is confirmed once a date and crew size are set following your walkthrough. We ask for as much notice as possible if plans change, whether a closing date slips, a storm is bearing down on the coast, or a new place isn’t ready, and we’ll work with you to reschedule rather than penalize a date change caused by circumstances outside your control. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may be billed a service fee to cover the crew and truck held for that date.
Liability and Valuation Coverage
Under federal law, all household-goods movers must offer two levels of liability coverage for your belongings. The default, included at no extra charge, is Released Value protection, which covers loss or damage at $0.60 per pound per item, a figure based on weight rather than the item’s actual value. Full Value Protection is available for an additional charge, typically 1-3% of your shipment’s declared value, and covers repair, replacement, or a cash settlement for the current market value of anything lost or damaged. T&T also carries $1M in cargo coverage on every truck for the duration of your move, and your crew will confirm which valuation coverage applies to your job before loading begins.
Claims
Any claim for loss or damage must be reported to our office in writing within 9 months of your move date. Send it to [email protected] or call (888) 278-9005 with a description of the item and the damage, and we’ll follow up to inspect and resolve it under whichever valuation coverage applied to your job.
Customer Responsibilities
Please pack valuables, cash, jewelry, and important documents separately and keep them with you rather than loading them on the truck; our coverage does not extend to these categories. Access to the pickup and delivery addresses, including parking for the truck and any elevator or stairwell restrictions, should be described accurately during the walkthrough so the right crew and truck size get scheduled.
Governing Law
Georgia law controls the interpretation of these terms, with conflict-of-law rules set aside. Any dispute arising from a move booked with T&T Moving Company will be handled under Georgia law and, where applicable, the federal regulations governing interstate household-goods carriers.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the version posted on this site at the time you book your move is the one that applies to your job.
